Our approach
Joistwell is designed to work without a Joistwell account or backend. The home, maintenance, project, photo, measurement, and preference information you add is stored locally on your device.
Data collection
Utility Forces LLC does not collect personal data, usage analytics, diagnostics, advertising identifiers, or tracking data through Joistwell. The app does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
Photos, camera, motion, microphone, and room scanning
Joistwell may request access to device capabilities when you choose a feature that needs them. Camera and photo access supports project records and visual tools. Motion access supports the level. Microphone access supports the sound meter. Room scanning uses supported Apple hardware. These inputs are processed on your device for the feature you selected; Joistwell does not send them to Utility Forces LLC.
Notifications
If you enable maintenance reminders, Joistwell schedules local notifications on your device. Notification settings are controlled through iOS.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Utility Forces LLC does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple may process purchase and account information under Apple’s own privacy terms.
Links and sharing
Joistwell includes clearly labeled links to outside resources. When you open them, the destination’s privacy practices apply. Information leaves the app only when you choose an export, share action, or outside link.
Deleting your information
You can delete individual records inside Joistwell. Removing the app also removes its locally stored data, subject to any device backups you control.
Children
Joistwell is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. Because we do not collect data through the app, we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
Changes
If Joistwell’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before the new practice takes effect and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated where required.
